Installation Time |
Tool-free installation; mounts on the chainstay in approx. 1–2 minutes. |
Same fast installation time (1–2 minutes), with a more secure and vibration-resistant fit. |
|
Maximum Supported Speed |
Assistance typically increases up to 35–37 km/h, depending on wheel size. |
Same assistance range of 35-37 km/h, but with higher measurement accuracy thanks to improved sensing. |
|
Speed Display Accuracy |
Output speed on the bike’s display becomes random and highly inaccurate, requiring an external GPS device for correct speed readings. |
Maintains correct display readings using a 1 : 1.5 speed-correction algorithm, providing accurate speed feedback without external devices. |
|
Battery Lifetime |
Approx. 5,000 km or ~6 months under regular use. |
Approx. 8,000 km or ~12 months, depending on conditions — engineered for extended service life. |
|
Build Quality |
Uses standard materials; the pin-lock mechanism is prone to wear and may break under repeated removal or vibration. |
Reinforced enclosure designed to lock directly into the speed sensor with enhanced durability and anti-vibration structure to prevent failures. |
|
Included Components |
Box, magnet, battery. Spacer not included, which may be required for some chainstay geometries. |
Box, magnet, battery. Includes multiple spacers, anti-vibration shims, and zip ties for universal and secure fitting. |

With the badassBox 4 Bosch Slim Set you not only get all the necessary parts to tune your e-bike in one 'click', but you also save money.
INSTALLATION
The Bosch Slim Sensor is either mounted on the chain stay or integrated into the dropout.

Here the slim speed sensor is classically mounted on the chain stay with an adapter.
There, the sensor must be freed from the adapter, the original adapter is unscrewed and replaced by our adapter.
Here the slim speed sensor is integrated near the rear axle. First, the rear wheel must be removed.
Then the sensor is removed from the bracket and mounted with our adapter at a suitable place on the chain stay using cable ties.
