Impulse is a German company which developed their first e-bike drive system, the Impulse Drive 1.0, in 2011. The first successor of the Drive 1.0, the Impulse 2.0 Drive is a completely improved version with 70Nm of torque and it is still seen today mounted on city and trekking bikes. One of the smart features is the shift-sensor technology which smooth the engine during shifting, even under load. The Impulse 2.0 Speed and the Impulse 2.0 Ego complete the Drive 2.0 range. In 2015, the Impulse EVO was released which is a more powerful version of the Drive 2.0 with a maximum torque of 80Nm. The Impulse EVO RS is a more sporty engine.
