Belangrijk:
• Zorg ervoor dat de motor van de fiets UIT staat tijdens de installatie.
• Verwijder de accu uit de e-bike volgens de handleiding van de fabrikant.
STEP 1 – Preparation for Installation
Before beginning the installation, ensure you have the following tools ready:
1. Inbussleutel H2.0
2. Inbussleutel H2.5
3. Inbussleutel H3
4. Inbussleutel H8
Pre-installation Steps:
• Switch OFF the e-bike.
• Remove the battery from the e-bike following the manufacturer’s instructions.
Stap 2. Krukas verwijderen
1. Gebruik een inbussleutel H8 om de crankbout van de linker crankarm los te draaien en te verwijderen.
2. Als de crankarm niet vanzelf loskomt, gebruik dan een cranktrekker om hem te verwijderen.
3. Trek de krukarm voorzichtig van de centrale as van de motor en leg deze apart.
STEP 3 – engine cover removal
1. Gebruik een inbussleutel H2.5 om de schroeven los te draaien waarmee de onderste motorkap is bevestigd.
2. Verwijder voorzichtig de onderste motorkap.
3. Gebruik een inbussleutel H2, H2.5 en H3 om de twee schroeven los te draaien waarmee de motorkap aan de zijkant is bevestigd.
4. Verwijder de motorkap aan de zijkant en leg deze op een veilige plek.
STEP 4 – Disconnecting Connectors from the Motor
1. Disconnect the Display Connector
Using a pair of pliers, carefully grasp and pull the display connector straight out from the motor housing.
Do not twist or bend the connector during removal to avoid damage to the pins.
2. Disconnect the Speed Sensor Connector
In the same manner, disconnect the speed sensor connector by gently pulling it away from the motor using pliers.
Ensure a firm grip on the connector housing — avoid pulling on the cable itself.
STAP 5 – De EPAspeed-tuningmodule installeren
1. Connect the EPAspeed Module
Replace the original motor connectors with the corresponding EPAspeed connectors.
2. Attach the Display Connectors
Plug the e-bike connectors (previously disconnected from the motor in Step 4) into the matching connectors on the EPAspeed
Ensure each connector is fully inserted and that the locking tabs are properly engaged.
3. Verify Wiring Configuration
Before reassembling the motor, visually inspect the wiring to confirm that all connections are correct and match the configuration shown in the reference diagram.
STEP 6: Verifying Tuning Functionality
1. Reinsert the battery into the e-bike.
2. Power ON the e-bike system.
3. Manually rotate the rear wheel and check the e-bike display to ensure speed is being detected and displayed. The EPAspeed is set by default to 50 kmh.
4. Once the tuning function is confirmed, follow the next steps below:

1. Install the EPAspeed App
Download and install the EPAspeed App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
2. Enable Bluetooth
Activate Bluetooth on your mobile device.
3. Launch the App
Open the EPAspeed App
4. Connect to the Device
In the list of available devices, select the address in bold characters.
o If the device does not appear verify the following:
– The e-bike is switched ON.
– Your mobile device is within 5 meters of the e-bike.
– Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
5. App Functionality
Once paired, you can use the app to:
– Control tuning functions
– Monitor ride data
– Adjust the speed limit and other settings
STEP 7 – Positioning the Tuning Module for Optimal Bluetooth Signal
1. Position the Module Correctly
Zorg ervoor dat de module zo is geïnstalleerd dat het Bluetooth-logo naar buiten wijst, weg van de motor. Deze oriëntatie verbetert de signaalsterkte en zorgt voor een optimale draadloze verbinding.
2. Ensure the module is not obstructed by metal components or enclosed within the frame.
STEP 8 – Reinstalling the Motor Cover
1. Position the EPAspeed module and all connected wiring neatly into the available space inside the motor compartment.
2. Ensure that the EPAspeed module is oriented with the Bluetooth logo facing outward for optimal signal strength.
3. Refit the motor cover to its original mounting position.
4. Secure the cover using the appropriate screws and tighten them evenly.
