A tuning chip with an option to set own speed limit for Specialized e-bikes with motors 3.1
SpeedBox 3.2 deactivates the speed limit of the e-bike, allowing you to enjoy riding at unlimited speed. After installing the chip, the e-bike display shows real data such as maximum or average speed, daily distance, and range.
How does SpeedBox 3.2 for Specialized work?
You install the SpeedBox into the e-bike frame under the control unit.
You activate the tuning by pressing the WALK button or using the button combination - + - +. The value 35.1 km/h will briefly appear on the display, indicating the preset maximum speed of 35 km/h.
You deactivate the tuning in the same way. The value 25 km/h will appear on the display and the e-bike will then work the same as before installing the tuning.
You can change the maximum assist speed by switching the modes from TRAIL three levels down and then three levels up (AUTO - ECO - OFF - ECO - AUTO - TRAIL). The default maximum assist speed will appear on the display. Each time you press the WALK button or rotate the rear wheel, the maximum assist speed increases by 5 km/h. The last displayed limit will be saved after five seconds of inactivity.
Assembly
When connecting the SpeedBox to an e-bike, you’ll find colored connectors to make installation simple. We’ve prepared detailed instructions and videos to help you. Disassembly is just as easy. If you need help, feel free to contact us anytime.
If you're installing the SpeedBox on a brand-new bike, ride it for at least 10 km before activating the product.
