How the Speed is Displayed

To achieve advanced anti-tuning detection protection, the EPAspeed 1.1 B.Tuning chip uses a smart method for speed display. This ensures reliable operation while maintaining accurate data in the EPA App at all times.
•    On the EPA App:
Speed is always displayed accurately, regardless of your chosen maximum speed setting.
•    On the E-Bike Display (with decimals):
o    When the max speed is set to 50 km/h, your display shows correct values up to 22.2 km/h.
o    Above 22.2 km/h, the tens digit (the “2”) freezes, while the decimal updates to reflect your real speed.
o    Example:
    At 34 km/h → Display shows 23.4 km/h
    At 44 km/h → Display shows 24.4 km/h

•    On the E-Bike Display (without decimals):
o    The display shows half of your actual speed.
o    Example:
    At 34 km/h → Display shows 17 km/h
    At 44 km/h → Display shows 22 km/h

Custom Speed Settings

The EPAspeed 1.1 B.Tuning chip offers flexible custom speed limit options at 30, 35, 40, or 45 km/h. To maintain its advanced anti-tuning detection system, the e-bike display shows your speed as a scaled ratio of your actual riding speed.
•    30 km/h setting: Display shows at a ratio of 0.83 (real speed × 0.83)
•    35 km/h setting: Display shows at a ratio of 0.714
•    40 km/h setting: Display shows at a ratio of 0.625
•    45 km/h setting: Display shows at a ratio of 0.55

Important: Regardless of the ratio shown on your e-bike display, the EPA App always provides your exact, real-time speed for accurate ride tracking and performance analysis.
