EPASPEED 1.0 B.TUNING FOR GIANT – INSTALLATION GUIDE
Wichtig:
• Der Motor des Motorrads muss während der Installation ausgeschaltet bleiben.
• Entfernen Sie den Akku gemäß der Bedienungsanleitung des Herstellers aus dem E-Bike.
SCHRITT 1 – Vorbereitung der Installation
Bevor Sie mit der Installation beginnen, stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie folgende Werkzeuge bereithalten:
1. Precision Slotted Screwdriver
2. Sechskantschlüssel H8
3. Hex Key H5
4. T20 Torx Screwdriver
5. T25 Torx Screwdriver
6. T25 Torx Screwdriver
Schritte vor der Installation:
• Schalten Sie das E-Bike aus.
• Entfernen Sie den Akku aus dem E-Bike gemäß den Anweisungen des Herstellers.
Step 2: Removing the Crank and Chainring
1. Remove Left Crank Arm
On the chain side of the e-bike, use an H8 hex key to unscrew and remove the crank locking bolt.
2. Release the Chain
o Flip up the chain guide to access the chainring.
o Carefully remove the chain from the chainring.
3. Detach the Chainring
o Using an H5 hex key, loosen and remove the chainring bolts.
o Take off the chainring from the motor.
Step 3: Motor Removal
1. Remove the Motor Cover
o Using a Torx T20 and T25 screwdriver, unscrew and remove the bolts securing the motor cover.
o Carefully remove the motor cover and set it aside.
2. Loosen the Motor Mounting Bolts
o Use a Torx T30 screwdriver to loosen the motor mounting bolts.
o Remove the bottom bolt completely.
o Leave the bolt near the rear wheel loosened but not removed.
3. Access Motor Cables
o Carefully pull out the cables and housing from the bike frame to create enough space.
4. Tilt the Motor for Access
o Gently tilt the motor downward to access the connectors.
o Support the motor with a screwdriver or another solid object to avoid strain on the cables.
SCHRITT 4 – Trennen der Stecker vom Motor
1. Using a precision slotted screwdriver, carefully disconnect the speed sensor connector from the motor.
2. Disconnect the connector of the cable running from the motor to the display using the same method as before.
If the connector is covered with heat shrink tubing, carefully cut and remove the tubing to access the connection without damaging the wires.
SCHRITT 5 – Installation des EPAspeed-Tuningmoduls
1. Connect the EPAspeed connectors to the corresponding connectors previously disconnected in Step 4.
2. Ensure that all connector locks are fully seated and secured to prevent disconnection during operation.
3. Before reassembling the motor, double-check the wiring layout against the reference diagram to confirm correct placement and routing.
SCHRITT 6: Überprüfung der Tuning-Funktionalität
1. Setzen Sie den Akku wieder in das E-Bike ein.
2. Schalten Sie das E-Bike-System ein.
3. Drehen Sie das Hinterrad manuell und überprüfen Sie das Display des E-Bikes, um sicherzustellen, dass die Geschwindigkeit erfasst und angezeigt wird. Die EPA-Geschwindigkeit ist standardmäßig auf 50 km/h eingestellt.
4. Sobald die Abstimmungsfunktion bestätigt ist, befolgen Sie die folgenden Schritte:
Kopplung des EPAspeed mit der EPAspeed-App
1. Installieren Sie die EPAspeed-App
Laden Sie die EPAspeed-App aus dem Google Play Store oder dem Apple App Store herunter und installieren Sie sie.
2. Bluetooth aktivieren
Aktivieren Sie Bluetooth auf Ihrem Mobilgerät.
3. Starten Sie die App.
Öffnen Sie die EPAspeed-App
4. Verbindung zum Gerät herstellen
Wählen Sie in der Liste der verfügbaren Geräte die Adresse in Fettdruck aus.
o Falls das Gerät nicht angezeigt wird, überprüfen Sie Folgendes:
– Das E-Bike ist eingeschaltet.
– Ihr Mobilgerät befindet sich innerhalb von 5 Metern vom E-Bike.
– Bluetooth ist auf Ihrem Telefon aktiviert.
5. App-Funktionalität
Nach der Kopplung können Sie die App für Folgendes verwenden:
– Steuerungs-Tuningfunktionen
– Fahrdaten überwachen
– Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung und andere Einstellungen anpassen
SCHRITT 7 – Positionierung des Tuning-Moduls für optimales Bluetooth-Signal
1. Positionieren Sie das Modul richtig.
Führen Sie die Motoranschlüsse und Kabel sorgfältig zurück in den dafür vorgesehenen Bereich innerhalb des E-Bike-Rahmens. Achten Sie darauf, dass das EPAspeed-Modul leicht aus dem Rahmen herausragt, um Störungen durch die Metallstruktur zu vermeiden und eine optimale Bluetooth-Signalübertragung zu gewährleisten.
2. Platzieren Sie das EPAspeed-Modul im Inneren der Kunststoff-Motorabdeckung und achten Sie darauf, dass das Bluetooth-Logo nach außen zeigt.
Diese Ausrichtung ist unerlässlich, um während des Betriebs eine maximale Bluetooth-Konnektivität zu gewährleisten.
NOTIZ: Ensure the module is not obstructed by metal components or enclosed within the frame.
SCHRITT 8 – Wiedereinbau der Motorabdeckung
1. Bringen Sie den Motor vorsichtig wieder an seinen ursprünglichen Montageort zurück und achten Sie darauf, dass dabei keine Kabel eingeklemmt oder beschädigt werden.
2. Setzen Sie die Motorbefestigungsschrauben ein und ziehen Sie sie fest an, um den Motor am Rahmen zu befestigen.
3. Bringen Sie die Kunststoff-Motorabdeckung wieder an und befestigen Sie sie mit den entsprechenden Schrauben.
⚠️ Achten Sie besonders darauf, alle Kabel ordnungsgemäß zu verlegen, bevor Sie den Motor festziehen.
