Die badassBox 4 ist das Ergebnis einer über einjährigen Entwicklungsarbeit. Wir haben das Gehäuse komplett neu designt, schlanker gestaltet und den O-Ring des Vorgängermodells durch unseren patentierten Schnappverschluss ersetzt. Durch die schlankere Form ist die Montage noch einfacher. Mit dem neuen Schnappverschluss lässt sich die badassBox in Sekundenschnelle mit nur einer Hand anbringen und wieder abnehmen. Auf Kundenwunsch haben wir den Schnappverschluss optional zusätzlich mit einem Kabelbinder gesichert.

The CR2 battery has been replaced with a AAA battery, so you can pick up replacement batteries much cheaper on just about any street corner. Tool-free battery change can be carried out quickly and easily while you’re on the road. We recommend replacing the battery at least once a year at the start of the season. Due to our specially patented field enhancement technology FEET (Field Enhancement & Elimination Technology) you get very far with one battery. To protect against moisture and mechanical stress, the electronics are glued into the casing and completely sealed with a special casting compound.

Installation

The badassBox Giant 2020 is mounted on the chain stay using cable ties (included in the scope of delivery) and the e-bike’s speed sensor is unscrewed and placed on the box.

For the first installation, the supplied spoke magnet must be fitted instead of the original magnet. Our spoke magnet functions identically to the original magnet without the badassBox, but is necessary for the function with our patented field reinforcement when the badassBox is fitted. After placing the sensor on the badassBox, the spoke magnet must be moved towards the edge of the housing in the direction of the snap lock. If the spoke magnet touches the badassBox, the spoke magnet must be placed as close as possible to the badassBox and turned by 90°. Ready!

How it works

Die kontaktlose und kabellose badassBox überträgt ein modifiziertes Signal, um die Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung Ihres E-Bikes außer Kraft zu setzen – ohne Eingriff in die Motorelektronik oder -software. Der Motor muss nicht geöffnet werden und es besteht keine Gefahr, ihn zu beschädigen. Die badassBox lässt sich in Sekundenschnelle montieren – und ebenso schnell wieder demontieren, sodass Ihr E-Bike wieder straßentauglich ist.

Bei all diesen Vorteilen wird eine falsche Geschwindigkeit und daraus abgeleitete Werte angezeigt. Für eine genauere Erfassung der Fahrdaten empfehlen wir die Verwendung von GPS-Zubehör (Smartphone, Fahrradcomputer etc.).
